Old School BMX Parts

Created by Berg Designs and weighs less than half the weight of a regular seat.

• December 1978 - BMX Action features the Berg Uni-Seat as part of the 1978 BMX Equipment Buyer's Guide.

Available in red, blue, gold, silver and black.

There are three versions of the MCS ZF Stem. This information has been gathered from advertisements and OZBMX Oldschool BMX Australia.

• 1978 to 1979 - ZF 6 bolt stem where the stem decal stages MCS Deerfield Bch., Fla.
• 1979 to 1980 - ZF 6 bolt stem where the stem decal stages MCS BMX Components.
• Late 1980 to Late 1981 - ZF 6 bolt slimline stem.

• August 1978 - The Bikeology MX Mail Order advertisement features the MCS Super Stem as part of the current product line. This advertisement runs in BMX Action.
• October 1978 to December 1978 - Everything Bicycles advertisement, Hot Trick Stuff!, features the MCS Super Stem as part of the current product line. This advertisement runs in BMX Action.
• January 1979 to March 1979 - Version 1 advertisement of the MCS ZF 6 bolt stem is featured in BMX Action.
• May 1979 to June 1979 - Featured as a current product in the Everything Bicycles full page advertisement, Mr. Dealer - Your One Stop BMX Supplier. This advertisement is printed in BMX Action.
• May 1979 to July 1979 - MCS advertises their frame, forks and 6-bolt ZF Stem in the MCS Has Their Act Together advertisement. A half page advertisement in May 1979 is replaced by a half page advertisement from June 1979 in BMX Action.
• October 1979 - Featured as a current product in the Spencer's Worldwide BMX Mail Order Service advertisement printed in BMX Action.
• October 1979 - Featured in the BMX Action Head-To-Head Gooseneck Comparison Chart.

Advertisements

Troxel MX Seats are moulded as a single piece. The only metal component is the seat guts. These are later advertised as the Trackmaster Seats.

Available in blue, yellow, black, clear and red.

According to Redline History, on March 1, 1978, Redline begins experimenting with a chromoly 3-piece crank. It still needs refining.

There are 2 versions of the Ashtabula forged stem; the heavy duty version with "ASHTABULA" engraved on the neck and the other that bends under heavy thrashing.

A former Superbyke investor formed a new company called Tuf-Neck, Inc. that made arrangements with Bakton to purchase, market, and distribute Tuf-Neck stems. To stop confusion, Tuf-Neck, Inc. changed it's name to Pro-Neck, Inc
