Kashimax Areo Seat

The Kashimax Areo Seat was made from Nylon 6 and weighs only 440 grams including the seat guts. The seat has a NJS stamp under the shell, which means it was OK to use in pro track racing in Japan.
Available in blue, red, yellow and black.

Reproduction
The saddle was re-released in December 2008, due to high demand from the track bike crowd.

Taihei BMX Seat

Taihei was a factory that produced a full range of bicycle seats and also bags and other consumer products produced from vinyls. Founded by Katsuhiko `KATCHAN` Kitaguchi, the company flourished because of Katchan`s terrific personality, his never tiring hard work, and the ability of his employees to produce high quality products in a timely manner.

- March 1979 - BMX Action releases news that the Taihei Saddle Co., the company that manufactured the Suzuki/Maytex Seat, would be releasing the same seat minus the padding.

Kashimax MX Seat

The Kashimax MX Seat featured factory-drilled holes to reduce weight and provide ventilation. It came in blue, black, red and yellow.
The Kashimax Seat Post Clamp was designed and developed to avoid protrusion of the seat post through the saddle. The 1979 advertisement has "PAT.P K.S.M" stamped on it.

Styles
The Kashimax BMX Seat came in three styles:
- MXC-2H - Contains 2 ventilation holes and is available in blue, red, yellow and black.
- MXC-20H - Contains 20 ventilation holes and is available in blue, red, yellow and black.
- MXC-36H - Contains 36 ventilation holes and is available in blue, red, yellow and black.
The Kashimax Seat Guts / Clamps also came in two versions:
- Aero Safety Clamp - uses a hex bolt to tighten the clamp around the seat post.
- Standard Safety Clamp - uses nuts and a bolt to tighten the clamp around the seat post.
