• June 1981 - Addicks Graphite Chainring advertisement in BMX Plus!

Redline Flight™ Chainwheels were originally available in 43, 44 and 45 tooth configuration in 1980. By 1986, Redline Flight™ Chainwheels were available in 40 to 46 tooth configuration.

The engraved Red Line logo uses a bobble font. This changed in the 90's.

• January 1979 to August 1979 - Featured in the current product range at the Everything Bicycles store. This advertisement is printed in BMX Action.
• January 1979 to October 1979 - SunTour advertisements feature in BMX Action. This includes the SunTour VX Chainrings.

• Everything Bicycles - Hot Trick Stuff
  

  Everything Bicycles advertisement, Hot Trick Stuff!, features the Sugino Alloy Chainrings for the Sugino Maxi-II and Sugino Mighty-Tour Cranks as part of the current product line. This advertisement runs in BMX Action.

Created by Lyle Addicks, founder of Addicks Engineering in Los Angeles, California. Addicks chainrings were created by injection moulding Millardium, a super-tough blend of DuPont Zytel with Teflon and silicone.

Addicks Chainrings came with 39 to 48 teeth and were available in red, blue, yellow, white and graphite.

The Addicks Sprockets went through three phases:

• Phase I - original swiss cheese sprocket made from DuPont Zytel with Teflon and silicone. These were strong and tough.
• Phase II - The compound was changed and these sprockets begun to break easily;
• Phase III - Released in 1978 and moved back to the original DuPont Zytel with Teflon and silicone formula with additional tweaks to make them better.
