Skyway Tuff Pedals
Skyway TUFF PEDALS™ were introduced in the summer of 1981. The pedal body is made of a high technology, graphite reinforced engineering thermoplastic. The spindle is machined and ground to a precise dimension and is made of heat-treated chrome-moly steel. The cages are replaceable and made from high tensile heat-treated aluminium alloy.
The Skyway TUFF Pedals come in 1/2" or 9/16" and the cages were available in red, gold, blue and silver.

Skyway has teamed up with legendary BMX product maker Bullseye USA to produce a brand new SKYWAY TUFF PEDAL, due for release in February 2012. The all-new Tuff Pedals will be serial numbered on the pedal body, and will be sold in numerical order.
Using the original Skyway Tuff Pedal as it's inspiration, the new Skyway / Bullseye collaboration pedal will feature a 100% CNC aircraft grade alloy pedal body with military grade black anodized finish. Pedal cage color options will be Black, Blue, Gold, Red, and Silver. Unlike the originals, these pedals will feature precision sealed bearings.

Skyway Tuff Pads (Pro Model)
The Skyway Tuff Pad (Pro Model) was a Skyway-branded version of the Kool Stop Finned Brake Pad and an upgrade on the original version of the Skyway Tuff Pad originally released in 1979.

Skyway Tuff Forks
The Skyway Tuff Fork is a durable lightweight (1.7 lbs.) racing fork. The entire unit is made of 4130 Chrome Moly Steel. The stem has a 1" O.D., uses a .083" wall and is flared (rather than welded) to reduce weight. It has a 1 X 24 thread and is designed to accept Schwinn #56752 and #56754 cone set and standard 4" head tube. The legs are mandril-bent uniformly for low tube stress and wall thinning. With the use of ⅞" O.D. tubing and a .065 wall these forks have strong lightweight legs with a thin racy look. The .100" thick die stamped tabs extend below the fork leg to minimise weight without sacrificing strength.

Production
Shortly after the release of the Skyway Tuff Fork in 1979, Skyway decided that it wanted to remain just "a wheel company" and decided to halt production of the fork just 6 months later.

- The Skyway Tuff forks were the very first SE used forks. They were painted SE colors with BMX Innovations stickers on them, pre Cycle Pro and Landing Gear.

Skyway TUFF Pads
"Skyway began working with Kool Stop Manufacturing to develop a caliper brake pad which would "bite" on the low friction nylon surface of the TUFF WHEEL. After 9 months of development and testing, TUFF PADS were born. There were different versions of the Skyway TUFF Wheel II. They were available at the following dates.
- 1979 - Tuff Wheel II with a riveted flange and only the Patent Number stamped on the brake area. These were a very limited run.
- 1979 to 1982 - Tuff Wheel II with a riveted flange and full stamp on the brake area.
- 1984 to 1988 - Tuff Wheel II with a riveted flange and stamp on the spoke area.
