Old School BMX Parts

There are 2 versions of the Ashtabula forged stem; the heavy duty version with "ASHTABULA" engraved on the neck and the other that bends under heavy thrashing.

A former Superbyke investor formed a new company called Tuf-Neck, Inc. that made arrangements with Bakton to purchase, market, and distribute Tuf-Neck stems. To stop confusion, Tuf-Neck, Inc. changed it's name to Pro-Neck, Inc

• October 1979 - Featured in the BMX Action Head-To-Head Gooseneck Comparison Chart.

• October 1977 - BMX Products, Inc / Mongoose Motomag II advertisement in BMX Action (see below).
• 1978 - The Motomag II Wheel is featured in the 1978 Mongoose Catalogue.
• December 1978 - BMX Action features the Mongoose Motomag II wheels as part of the 1978 BMX Equipment Buyer's Guide.
• 1979 to 1980 - Featured in the Mongoose Catalogue.
• 1981 - Featured in the Mongoose Catalogue.

• June 1979 to October 1979 - The Mesinger R-3 BMX seat advertisement features in BMX Action.

• April 1978 - Reviewed in BMX Action's Products section for new products.
